The purpose of this mailing list is:

Only for members of The Clan MacCarthy Society.
To provide communication between our Directors, Officers, and Members about activities and interests of the Society.
Not for genealogy inquiries.

The List Administrator (or ListMaster), is WeBmAsTeR (WeBmAsTeR).

How to subscribe Your membership must be paid for the current calendar year, to be subscribed to the mailing list.
Send an e-mail to WeBmAsTeR, identifying yourself, and request to be subscribed. I will send you an "invitation" from the Coollist site. You then have to follow the instructions in that e-mail to be subscribed.

How to unsubscribe Send an e-mail to WeBmAsTeR, identifying yourself, and request to be unsubscribed.
OR
Login to the Coollist website as a Member, and unsubscribe yourself.

Going to be away temporarily? If you are going to be away temporarily, and will not be retrieving your e-mail, then please unsubscribe from the mailing list until you are back. This is to avoid filling up your mailbox and to avoid other problems.

You can send messages to the list only if you are subscribed to the list, and the messages must come from the e-mail address to which you are subscribed to the list. Please read the Rules Of The List below first before posting any messages to the list.

Rules Of The List (ROTL)

Do not send spam e-mail messages to the mailing list.
Do not send attachments (attached files) of any sort to the mailing list. This includes URL shortcuts, v-cards, GEDCOM files, zipped files, and any other type of attachment.
Do not forward virus hoaxes or chain letters to the mailing list.
Do not cross-post messages to multiple mailing lists on the "To:" line or the "Cc:" line of the e-mail message.
Do not send e-mail messages to the mailing list for which the topic is inappropriate.
Do not flame other members of the mailing list.
Do not send genealogy requests or information to the mailing list. Such postings should be directed to other mailing lists like RootsWeb's MCCARTHY-L. See here for more info.
This list, like The Clan MacCarthy Society as a whole, is secular. We do not let religion divide us. To this end, please do not post messages of a religious nature.
If you use signature lines when posting to the mailing list, make them short, 3 lines maximum.
These rules can be changed or added to at any time without notice.
